Bio

Peter Benoliel is a Postdoc in the Sustainable Energy and Environmental Systems (SEES) Department within the Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts (EAEI) Division at the Berkeley Lab. Peter's current research focuses on techno-economic analysis of systems related to sustainable energy and transportation. He also has research interests in battery technologies and stationary storage systems.

Peter earned his Ph.D. in Transportation Technology and Policy from the University of California - Davis in 2022, where he focused on developing a model to assess the charging infrastructure and strategies available to transit bus networks. He also holds a M.S.E. in Automotive Systems Engineering with a focus in electric vehicle design from the University of Michigan - Dearborn and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University.
